Notice, I said nearly packed.  I will probably go through the suitcases again and repack, then of course there’s always last minute things to pack, and wondering if I have everything.  Ahhhh, It’s getting closer for the time to leave. My flight leaves January 18th, so not quite 3 weeks. Plus at this time of the year there’s always so much to do on top of getting ready to go.

I was showing Zoe, my 7 year old granddaughter, a world map where Michigan is and where I will be ministering.  I don’t think it really registered that from Central America to India is a long long way.

There are soooo many details to consider when arranging to leave home for a long period of time.  One of the posts I mentioned was simply cleaning house and purging papers.  Another thing was getting ready emotionally.  I will write about getting ready financially, which includes much more than financial support.

People ask me if I am afraid to go by myself.  My answer is, No.  Actually, I never gave it much thought.  I’m just supposed to go. A verse the Lord has given to me is II Thessalonians 3:3 NIV-“But the Lord if faithful; He will make you strong and guard you from the evil one.”  Of course I ask for your prayers for traveling as well.
